What an awesome time he must be having.  I can feel the love and respect for this man from your web-site. Someone I wish I could have known in this life. but now my husband knows him in a better life. Prayers to you and your family.

Tiffany Pough From A Niece August 2, 2007

It hurts that I never got the chance to say goodbye. Uncle and I never exchanged a lot of words, but our short talks were quite humorous. I have to say, I never saw him without a smile on his face. I always saw him helping others, and he was the best example of a Christian that I have seen in my 20 years living. Aunt Tommie, Alexis, and Penny, I want to let you know that you have my deepest sympathy. I know that the person we lost was someone special, and he will be missed. I only wished that my daughter would have had the priviledge to meet a Man of God like Uncle Lewis.

Love Always,

Tiffany

Jeanette Coleman Gone Too Soon August 2, 2007

Tommie, Penny, and Lexi

If I had known that Lewis was leaving so soon, I would have said all the things that now, I wish I could have said to him like: Lewis, you're a good man! You've been a good husband to my sister and a wonderful father and grandfather to your children. You set the example that Christ commanded us to follow: Love ye one another as I have loved you. My life and that of my family was made better just by knowing you. We will forever cherish the memory of Lewis.

Tommie, Penny and Lexi, I pray that these words will encourage you and give you strength in knowing that Lewis was so highly exalted among His fellow men and by God.

Love Always.

My heart goes out to you all in the lost of Uncle Lewis.  He was a great man in all that he said and did.  The life he lived surley did speak for him.  He was the same he never changed.  He was loved and is loved by many.  Our expressions could not express the man that Uncle lewis was before he departed this life.  But one thing we do know he was all that and more and he can not be replaced I don't care how many more men out there with the name Lewis William Jones we all know that there is only one Lewis William Jones and there is no match because when god made Uncle Lewis he only made one.

There are no words to express what Uncle Lewis meant to the Pough Family. The family was better for having had him in our lives. His home was home for many us at some point in our lives; He opened his heart and his home to us when others may have said no and he was constant, steady and unwavering. His was a quiet strength and his character ran deep. I just learned today that all these years when I thought he was a blessing to his family, that his reach and touch reached far and wide, further than I could have ever imagined. He was a blessing to whomever crossed his path. His legacy will endure. I am proud to say that he was a part of my family.
Lex "Pokie II" Daddy, I Love You July 12, 2007
I remember the days of sneaking into your bed and falling asleep.  I would wake up and you was carrying me to my bed all the while saying, "You're more trouble than you're worth."  But you would carry me the next night and the next night.  You carried me throughout my life, up until now, just like that.  Always my Superman saving me from gloom, doom, and danger even though I still was "more trouble than I'm worth".  I love and miss you with all my heart.  One of your Pokies- Lex
